Twenty-three (2+3=5) is also a very important mystical number, and can be considered sort of a "virtual five" when making numerological analysis of things, unless of course it's important for some stupid reason that the numbers actually add up correctly, in which case you'll be off by eighteen.
The Law of Fives, incarnated as the Pentagon, is representative of the Hodge, or Order, in the Sacred Chao. Since it's an absolute rule, it shows that Order, despite the fact that it doesn't exist, is as inescapable as Chaos.
